Field Day for Brewster and Korn students.
Field day is a celebration of physical education activities. The event starts at Korn School at 8:30 and ends at 1:30.
Field day is set for June 13, 2014 with a rain date on June 18, 2014.
Here is how it goes: Every K-4 student from Brewster and Korn gets bussed or dropped off at Korn School between 8:30 and 8:45.
The students meet their teacher on the Korn blacktop to get ready for the opening ceremony.
Once the opening ceremony finishes the students will go with their class to their first station. The student's play for 15 minutes and when a horn blows they go to the next station. This happens all throughout the day. During the day the students have snack and lunch built into their schedule. Lunch will consist of either bringing something from home or buying the grilled hot dog lunch from the food service. The grilled lunches need to be ordered ahead to time.
Two parent letters will be going home starting in May. These letters will be informational as well as a form to volunteer to help in your child's class. We like the parents to lead the classes from station to station.
What to bring: Every student should wear sneakers and socks, absolutely no sandals. It is also recommended to put on sun block, as the students will be out in the sun all day long. In addition, a water bottle should be brought with the students name on it. There are multiple water coolers out in the fields so water bottles can be refilled.
Here are the K-2 events.
Bowling Blast, Haunted House, Lord of the Rings, Parachute Games, Tag, Battleship, Sponge Bob, Potato Sack Race, Fill the Pail, Relay Races, Treasure Island, Bucket-Ball, Obstacle Course, and Shipwrecked.
